Leaving LA in a half an hour

The boys and I made it to LA and have spent the most wonderful 27 hours with Kelly, Judy and the girls. The connection that exists between this groups of ladies that I met years ago in my first adoption journey is incredible. I could not BUY better friends.... There is a thread that connects us that is truly amazing. I am so blessed. Kel is the hostess with the mostess.... she is amazing and I am so grageful for her great food, water, wine, margaritas, and hospitality. It was a little break that was much needed. Incidentally, Judy and I solved all the world's problems, including Kels. :)

We are headed for the airport and then we will be in the air for 16 hours. I will try to drop a note from Guangzhou when we are there as we have a long layover.

I am trying to just enjoy each moment while looking forward to the experience of meeitng my daughter.

Off to finish putting things in the car, drive an hour to the airport, and then we will enjoy several hours of waiting in lines and whatnot. Please, say a prayer for us... safe travels, wonderful journey and ready to meet a two year old tornado.

Jack

  • Joy and I read your blog this evening. She says to tell you hello and she misses you. At first she couldn't think of anything to say [yes...I am talking about your very own Joy] but when I suggested that, she thought it sounded good.

This is a ball, having her. Good thing you got her from China all that time ago. I don't think the family could have produced anything quite like this.

Gotta go, Joy is fluctuating between hollering because I haven't yet doctored her owie...pinching my ear together to make a "mouth" and having it talk to me...and trying to knock me out of my chair.

We have developed a strange and wonderful relationship, as they say. She and I each think the other is pretty strange...but it's wonderful being together.

    Peace...prayers...blessings...

    Aine and Joy
